UNITED METHODIST RELEVANCE CONFERENCE RETURNS IN 2013 WITH TWO INSPIRING EVENTS
Bringing Together Young Adults, Leaders, Artists, Musicians, and More

Relevance Ministries, in partnership with Claremont School of Theology and GBOD (Division on Ministries with Young People), returns to Las Vegas, NV February 14-17, 2013, for Relevance 2013. The University of Nevada Las Vegas (UNLV) will play host to both events. Young clergy, leaders of young adult ministries, and young adults will gather from across the US and Canada focused on converging, innovating, and transforming young adult ministry in the United Methodist Church.

Two Conferences in one weekend:

LEAD 2013 will bring together the collective wisdom of those that want to transform and grow young adult ministry in the church for the ultimate transformation of the world with the love of Jesus Christ. Participants will, once again, hear from speakers, in a "TED" like format, offering new and innovative ideas for ministry with young adults. In a change from the 2012 event, speakers will be joined in the lineup by "creatives" including, artists, musicians and poets. LEAD 2013 will also incorporate another LEAD Conversation, featuring a conversation between two leaders on a major issue facing the church, today.

Limited to just two-hundred participants, registration for LEAD 2013 includes three nights of on-campus housing, with a roommate, includes most meals and is $199. An "arrange your own" housing registration option is available for $150. LEAD 2013 will merge with the Relevance X event, also at UNLV, on the afternoon of Saturday, February 16th. Both registration options include entrance into Relevance X.

Relevance X begins Friday night, February 15, 2013 and is an event for young adults, young clergy, and leaders of young adult groups that incorporates service to the community, inspiring speakers and transformative worship. The focus will be on how followers of Christ can step beyond their comfort zones to create networks of missional communities that effectively make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world.

Early registration (ends January 1st) for Relevance X is $45/person or $40/person for Groups of 5+ and includes conference attendance, t-shirt, two meals and materials. Housing is not included. Campus housing is available for an additional $54/person for 3 nights, with a roommate, on the campus of UNLV. Housing is available at nearby churches at no cost.
