Every four years the jurisdictional conferences meet to elect new bishops and select members of general boards and agencies. The last Jurisdictional Conference, the eighteenth session, was held July 16-19, 2008 in Portland, Oregon. The 2012 conference will be held from July 18-21 at the Town and Country Resort Hotel and Convention Center in San Diego, California.
