2020 Western Jurisdictional Conference

July 15-18, 2020 | Billings, Montana

Pre-conference meetings July 13 and 14, 2020

Our Western Jurisdictional Conference will take place at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Billings, Montana. As we gather in Montana, we will have traveled from the eastern edges of Colorado and Montana, the islands of Hawaii, Guam, and Saipan in the west, from Alaska in the north, Arizona in the south, and all places in between to reach this location near the Crow and Northern Cheyenne Indian Reservation in Montana.

We gather together to live out and model our Western Jurisdiction vision: A home for all God’s people, gathered around a table of reconciliation and transformation: the Western Jurisdiction of The United Methodist Church is multicultural and inclusive, engaged in the life of its communities, with confident, effective lay and clergy leadership who, in diverse ministry settings, form disciples who live out the Good News of Jesus as global citizens.

We will continue to engage in experiences of permeable boundaries as delegates are seated not by annual conferences but as inclusive members of the jurisdiction. At this conference, we will celebrate the retirements of Bishop Grant Hagiya and Bishop Robert Hoshibata, and elect two new bishops to serve within our jurisdiction. We will also spend time determining how we move forward in these challenging and changing times.

All are called to be part of this quadrennial gathering of delegates, bishops, and guests for a time of holy conferencing.

Registration details will be available on the registration page (coming soon!).
