Join us for a historical & current convocation, hosted by the Hawaii District & the Cal-Pac Annual Conference, September 8-11, 2026, in Honolulu, Hawaii.
The Western Jurisdiction Archives and History Commission invites you to experience the Stories of Hawaiian Methodism. The event will highlight the diversity of the island, ethnic congregations, and the role of Methodism in the history of Hawaii. This conference is hosted by the Cal-Pac annual conference as part of the work of the Archives and History Commission. Anyone interested is welcome to join this event.

Our theme is Stories in Hawaiian Methodism.

This event is designed to highlight the cultural diversity of Hawaii, Methodist involvement in the overthrow of the nation of Hawaii by the U.S. government, and the work of the Conference Acts of Repentance Committee. Field trip details are being planned to include a visit to the Plantation Village in Waipah, and learn about historic ethnic congregations in the Hawaii District. Wednesday dinner will honor Christ UMC as a UMC Historical Site. We look forward to connecting with one another across our Jurisdiction.

There are two ways you can register to attend the Conference:

  1.  In-person, the registration fee is $195. and includes:
    • Three lunches and dinners (breakfast on your own).

    • Transportation to/from the field trip sites from the hotel.
    • Entrance fees for field trips.
