The Western Jurisdiction’s work groups prepare reports leading into July 17th’s special-called session

As delegates prepare for the Special Session of the Western Jurisdictional Conference, please receive and review reports and recommendations of the five workgroups formed by the jurisdictional Mission Cabinet over these last several months.

The groups provide their summary reports here, but will also make thorough presentations during the special session on  Saturday, July 17th.

The reports — some of which include supporting documents within the report — are as follows:

• The jurisdiction’s mission statement
• The theological and missional context of the work of bishops with a report section entitled “the role of the episcopacy”
• The assignment of bishops
• The jurisdiction’s commitment to permeable boundaries
• The jurisdiction’s administrative and financial oversight
