Webinar: February 3, 2021 – Taking the Church Outdoors

by | Feb 3, 2021 | Events, News, Where Love Lives

Hosted by CNVC and the Director of Congregational Development, Dr. Craig Brown, on February 3, 2021.

Join us in this exciting walk through history as we explore the beginnings of our Methodist roots from Bristol, England. The New Room is the oldest Methodist building in the world, and it is where John Wesley wrestled with the issues of love and social justice in the midst of challenging times. Our hosts, David Worthington from Bristol, England, and Dr. Craig Brown, will be our guides as we illustrate our Methodist history and our present witness through historical and contemporary comparison.

Where Love Lives is a 12-month long campaign happening throughout the Conferences of the Western Jurisdiction (WJ), designed to lift up the faith values that have undergirded the jurisdiction’s long-term commitment to a scripturally based fully inclusive ministry. Conferences within the WJ selected months to lead and produce campaign content. That content is distributed through websites, social media, and partner networks of the WJ all resident conferences.
