Notice to the Western Jurisdiction
As we continue to walk faithfully together through this season of change and possibility, the Western Jurisdiction College of Bishops has prayerfully discerned that all conferences of the Western Jurisdiction will hold elections for General and Jurisdictional Conference delegates during their 2026 Annual Conference sessions. These elections will be conducted in accordance with the 2020/2024 Book of Discipline and each conference’s rules.
This decision is rooted in both present need and established precedent. The work before us calls for deep discernment and for delegations to have time to build the strategic, collaborative, and collegial relationships needed across the jurisdiction in preparation for the next General and Jurisdictional Conferences. We also give thanks for the faithful service of current delegations, whose leadership has helped sustain this work over time.
Final delegate counts have been confirmed by Secretary of the General Conference Rev. Aleze Fulbright and Western Jurisdiction Conference Secretary Rev. Beth Rambikur as follows:
Alaska Conference: 4
California-Nevada Conference: 22
California-Pacific Conference: 24
Desert Southwest Conference: 8
Oregon-Idaho Conference: 8
Pacific Northwest Conference: 12
Mountain Sky Conference: 22
Total delegate count: 100
We share this now so conference leaders, secretaries, and planners may begin preparing for the important work ahead. We trust that God will continue to guide our steps, steady our spirits, and shape us for faithful service as we discern those who will represent the Western Jurisdiction in the next season of our common life.
