Licensing School for Local Pastors

More detailed information about the Course of Study & Licensing School can be found at localpastor.org

All students who are certified candidates within the United Methodist Church are welcomed to the Western Jurisdiction Licensing School.  We believe that all students can do well in this program.

This program provides 80 hours of education to prepare students to become licensed by their Bishop as a Local Pastor.  The areas for study are worship, preaching, administration, spiritual formation, mission, evangelism, pastoral care, educational ministries, and United Methodist tradition.

Licensing School is the first step in the educational process to be followed by the five years of Course of Study classes.
